Clarence L. Warstler

Clarence (Junie) L. Warstler Jr., 85 of Navarre went to join his savior Monday, February 20, 2012 at his home with his beloved family at his side. He was born at Justus and has been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by Clarence L. Warstler and Faye (Wentling) Warstler and by three brothers Raymond, Vernon, and Earl (Wayne) Warstler. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Griscom Russell. Following his employment at E. W. Bliss Co. Clarence was employed as the plant manager at Valley City Steel, Valley City, OH and then Loopco Industries, Inc. in Twinsburg, OH as the product manager. His last mechanical engineering position was at the Seifert Technologies in Massillon, OH. Clarence was a life time member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers. He was also a world war II Army Air Force veteran and belonged to Justus United Methodist Church. At the church he volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, a youth director, building chair person in 1961 and served as administrative council chair. Clarence also sat as chairman of pastor parish, trustees and was the scoutmaster of the Justus Boy Scout Troop #31 and a member of the Brewster American Legion Post #160. His four greatest loves were his family, his church, his work, and his garden. He is survived by his loving wife Mona J. (Lemmon) Warstler whom he married November 24, 1945. In addition he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Jean Warstler of Navarre; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Mona J. and Terry Fair of Navarre and Dr. Ann and Dr.Scott Smith of Toledo. He has seven grandchildren: Christopher Warstler, LuAnne (Warstler) Frase, Jeananne (Fair) Chadsey, Matthew Fair, Alex Smith, Stephen Smith, and Kate Smith and one great grandchild, London Frase. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Nola Warstler of Sebring. Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Justus United Methodist Church, 11771 Navarre Rd Sw, Navarre the Rev. Orion Aubihl, Rev. Robert Angel, and Dr. Rev. Melvin Lindberg officiating. Interment will be made in East Union Cemetery, Navarre. Friends may call Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday 9 to 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Justus United Methodist Church.
